The film was released worldwide on over 450 screens on today , August 29 , 2012 as a part of Onam celebration. The film has been awarded with ‘U’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification. It was reported that the satellite rights were sold for 4.70 crores to Asianet. At the reporting venue they are meeting each other thus the story enters into a flash back of venu and renu .Flashback reveals about their romance,profession ,team work and separation.The thrill of the movie begins with the rejoining of venu and renu for their next move .The remaining part of the movie can be enjoyed by you at the theaters near you.Introduction of mohanlal is superb.While dealing with the performance part mohanlal is excellent with several comedy sequences,performance of amala paul is just average,performance of other charecters like bijumenon, saikumar was good.
This time joshiy had taken an entirely different approach from his old style.The movie comes under the category of watchable and it is highly recommended to watch run baby run to have fun in this festival season.

Production
The film is being produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Galaxy Films. Cinematographer is R. D. Rajasekhar and music director is Ratheesh Vegha. Stills are by Aaghosh.
After the movie Christian Brothers which came out in the early months of 2011, senior director Joshiy teams up with Mohanlal for this project. Malayalee actress who made it big in Tamil, Amala Paul will be for the first time pairing up with Mohanlal for this film.
Sachi, of Sachi-Sethu duo, famous for the hits like Chocolate, Robinhood and Seniors will pen the movie which will have its share of humour.
Critical reception
Run Baby Run received positive reviews from critics. Metromatinee concluded that "RBR entertain, but in parts!".Unni R. Nair of Kerala9.com rated movie 3/5 and said "Predictable but watchable thriller, typical Joshiy film."
Among the Malayalam review websites, Chithravishesham gave the movie 6.00/10 stating that "Writer Sethu succeeded to pull a decent plot and director Joshiy, with in his limits, is able to present it well. In short 'Run Babby Run' will not make you run!".
