Avalude Ravukal is one movie which has made history in the Malayalam cinema.
This movie is about a teenage girl, who is a prostitute, how things as well as people around her are affected regarding this. This film was released in the year 1978 and the director of the movie was I. V. Sasi.
The name of the teenage prostitute was ‘Raji’ and Malayalam actress Seema had essayed the role of ‘Raji’.Now the film is going to have a sequel to it. Previously it was said that Swetha Menon would be fitting in to the role of the teenage prostitute.
But now if sources are to be believed then Priyamani has been considered for this role.
The name of the sequel hasn’t been decided yet. The producer and the director have just discussed about Priyamani but are yet to finalize her for the project. In the original movie Soman and Sukumaran have played lead roles apart from Seema. In the sequel Vijayraghavan would be playing the role is which Late Soman had played and Mamukkoya would be essaying the role of which was played by Late Kuthirvattan Pappu. The script of the original and the sequel has been written by Aleppy Ashraf.Old hit movies like ‘Neelathamara’ and ‘Rathinivedam’ were remade recently and they could manage to get good business at box office.That must be the reason behind this remake project.More details are expected to be announcing soon.
