Mammootty undoubtedly walks away with the cake in Thappana! His comic timing, dialogue delivery and expressions are flawless. He makes you laugh, cry and go through the entire experience with him! Charmy Kaur is cute and performs well. Murlai as usual is terrific.Overall, Thappana is Mammootty's comeback....It's an average film, and a must watch for all Mammootty fans!
Though Thappana does not boast of an unusual script, director Johnny Antony has added just the right dose of comedy, tears and action to make it a mass entertainer. Mamootty as usual does not disappoint you down one bit!
Mammootty, who hasn't had a hit in a long time, has targeted the family audience this festive season of Ramzan, and this time, the actor seems to have hit the bull's eye. The plot bear resemblance to Mammooty's hit Maayavi as well.
Script by M Sindhuraj is decent and Johnny Antony has ensured to weave a strong plot around the main characters. Music by Vidyasagar is good. Thappana is produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Galaxy films.
